Community Nursing Open Day – 30 July

4 Jul 2016 Taniamacdonnell

Enthusiastic and motivated registered nurses and nursing bank staff required

Are you a registered nurse? Have you ever considered working in community healthcare? We’re recruiting for band 5 nurses to join our integrated nursing teams at bases throughout Bristol.

Community Nursing open day - 30 July

This work will involve delivering excellent evidence based nursing care to housebound patients within the local area, working autonomously, whilst working collaboratively with district nurses, community matrons, community nurses and health care assistants.

You will need excellent communication skills and have experience of working within a team. Previous community experience is desirable but not essential. You will also be required to use electronic systems, have good time management and be able to prioritise your workload.

Nursing bank staff required

Looking for part time or time or flexible working?
We’re also recruiting to our nursing bank to provide cover across a variety of shifts and locations. You might be looking for greater flexibility in your work, a few extra shifts or an opportunity to experience what community nursing is all about. Our nursing bank can help you achieve any of the above. Joining our bank offers you the opportunity to work in a wide variety of environments, learning new skills and expanding your experience.

Our nursing staff practice autonomously within integrated healthcare teams. We are therefore looking for people who enjoy working under their own initiative but are also able to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams. You will need to be flexible and confident working in varying clinical environments.

Come and meet the team

Open day – Saturday 30 July, 10am – 1pm
Hampton House Health Centre
St Michael’s Hill

This is a ‘drop in’ day for anyone who is interested in working as a community nurse either permanently or on our bank. You can come along, look around the base and meet the team at any time throughout the day.

You will have an opportunity to meet our nurses, clinical management team and our bank team, learn first-hand about community nursing and what working in any of the community nursing teams is really like.

In order to attend the open day you need to complete the registration form

Following on from the open day interested candidates will be encouraged to complete an application form for one of our many band 5 nursing vacancies throughout the city. Laptops will be available on the day for you to do this or we can email you the form to complete at a later date.
