We are four years old!

1 Oct 2015 Amy Clapinson

We’ve come so far in the past four years - and with four years ahead of us in our current community contract, we’re feeling very proud and reflective today at this - our ‘half-way point’.

This past year too has been a great one, full of achievements and challenges too.

In the Spring we secured a third contract extension, an achievement which is testament to the hard work of everyone in our organisation, from the front line all the way to the back-office , and built on all the relationship improvement, and the innovations we’ve been leading.

We’re working more closely than ever with our patients, with the launch of the Patient Leadership project, collecting real-time patient feedback in our services, and expanding our volunteer programme.

We’ve strengthened and forged new relationships with local partners who share our vision for Bristol, putting us in a strong position to bid for new contracts, and improving our offer to patients.

This year has also seen the launch of new pilots and services – including advanced nursing support in Extra Care Housing, Strength and Balance classes, the developing rehabilitation pathway and our new Community Discharge Coordination Centre.

We continue to invest in technology to support our business, further extending and improving our mobile working strategy, and upgrading our IT infrastructure in many parts of the organisation.

Importantly we’re also consolidating the support and development of our fantastic and dedicated workforce - as without them, we never could have got this far.

Happy Birthday Bristol Community Health…

Here’s to another four years, and beyond!
