The views of young people and their families are wanted by the new providers of Community Children’s Health Services in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
From April 1 the services will be provided by a partnership of Sirona care & health CIC, Bristol Community Health CIC and Avon and Wiltshire Partnership NHS Trust.
Senior leaders from all three organisations want to meet as many current users of the services as possible, to hear about their experiences and suggestions for the future.
Public meetings are planned at Yate Community Centre on February 25 and the Rosegreen Centre Bristol on March 9.
Janet Rowse, Sirona’s chief executive, said: “We know there is fantastic work already going on in Bristol and South Gloucestershire and we want to continue to build on this. We can only do this in partnership with those that use these services, so we do hope that people will take this opportunity to come and talk to us. Although this contract is only for one year, all partners are totally committed to the long term future of services for children, young people and families in our areas.”
Julia Clarke, Bristol Community Health’s chief executive, said: “We have all been working with the current staff to make sure this transfer happens smoothly and safely and we want to assure you that you will continue to receive the same high quality services that you have been receiving already. We are looking forward to hearing your ideas which will help us build on the superb foundations which have already been laid so we can continue to make improvements for the benefit of our local people.”
Hayley Richards, AWP’s acting chief executive, said: “Children, young people and their families should not see any difference from April 1. Ensuring on-going high quality care is our priority and we are very much looking forward to meeting and working with young people and their families.”
The meetings are open to all and will take place from 4pm to 6pm.
