Patient and voluntary sector input is integral to our work, especially when we make plans for the future. We recently hosted an event to facilitate discussion around our next quality account.
Our event, Prioritising Patients, saw over 30 patients, carers and voluntary sector representatives in attendance to get involved in shaping our quality priorities for 2015 and 2016. The workshops helped us identify what is important for patients, so we can reflect these priorities in our Quality Account. Our delegates engaged in lively debate and shared a range of innovative and interesting ideas for where we should focus over the next year.
All organisations that provide healthcare have to publish an account which reflects on their previous quality priorities and outlines those priorities which will be focused on for the next year.
Over the next few months we will be compiling our account and defining those priorities we will be focusing on for the next 12 months. All our delegates will receive a draft of our quality account so they can see how their ideas have helped shaped it.
