Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) CCG have announced Sirona as the highest scoring bidder for the provision of Adults’ Community Healthcare across BNNSG, for a 10 year period starting April 2020. Bristol Community Health recently submitted a partnership bid with NSCP for the provision of these services.
A spokesperson for Bristol Community Health said:
“We are disappointed to have not been named as the highest scoring bidder, but accept and respect the commissioners’ decision. Our dedicated staff have supported the people of Bristol for over 8 years, and we would like to thank them for their commitment and support as we have moved through the bid process.
“Our priority now is to ensure a safe and seamless transfer of adults’ services to Sirona in advance of the contract starting on 1 April 2020, for the benefit of the team and patients. We look forward to working with Sirona to achieve this.
“Following the commissioners’ announcement, our Chief Executive Julia Clarke has decided to stand down, along with our Chair Steve Hughes, to allow the Executive Board to plan for the future. From 1 August, our Chief Executive will be Jo Makinson (previously Deputy CEO), and the new Chair will be Rhona MacDonald (previously Vice Chair).”
