Where: HMP Eastwood Park training centre, Falfield, Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, GL12 8DB (map and directions below)

About the open day

Prison healthcare is diverse, challenging and – above all – highly rewarding. We firmly believe that good healthcare can change lives. Could you be part of our team?

The day begins with a short presentation on healthcare at HMP Eastwood Park, then you’ll be shown around the prison to understand first hand what working in this environment could be like. There’ll also plenty of opportunities to ask questions and meet our dedicated and knowledgeable team. This is a rare opportunity to gain a genuine insight into what prison healthcare is really like.

The open day will last around 1-2 hours.

Who is it for?

  • Registered nurses
  • Pharmacy technicians
  • Healthcare assistants
  • Paramedics

Whether you’re looking for a permanent role or more flexible bank working, we’d love to meet you.

About HMP Eastwood Park

HMP Eastwood Park is located in South Gloucestershire, around 1 mile from J14 M5 (click here for directions). It is a female prison catering for over 400 women who are on remand, awaiting trial, or serving short sentences.

Our team offers a wide range of care within the prison – from general health assessments to supporting women overcome long histories of substance misuse. We have a dedicated substance misuse unit and a purpose-built healthcare centre, where we aim to deliver services equal to that in a community setting.
