Booking is now open for Bristol Community Health's spinal education event for GPs
Bristol Community Health will be hosting a GP education* evening on Wednesday, 22 October at Engineers' house from 5.30-9pm.
The topic of the event will be the spine and speakers include Spinal Specialist Dr Keith Greenfield, who currently manages the spinal assessment clinic for the Bristol Neurological and Spinal Unit. Content covered is as follows:
The spine and cauda equina syndromes; protecting the patients and clinicians. With Spinal Specialist Dr Keith Greenfield.
Appropriate imaging of acute and chronic back pain in primary care; and appropriate referral process to Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment Service (MATS) Spinal. With Consultant Physiotherapist Johanna Graham.
The clinical reasoning behind MATS vs physio - which is best? With Extended Scope Physiotherapist Mr Damon Henry.
The 7 minute spinal assessment. With Extended Scope Physiotherapist Linda McBurnie
