Our Walk-in Centre is a nurse-led service that can see and treat a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses.
What does this service do?
We can see and treat a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses such as simple infections, cuts, grazes, burns, sprains, strains and lacerations. We can also perform sexual health screening for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea and provide emergency contraception.

How can I access this service?
No referral is necessary and no appointment is necessary unless the patient would like to be seen after 4pm Monday - Saturday or after 3:30pm on Sunday. After these times patients must arrange an appointment in person at the Walk-in Centre.
Opening times
Monday - Saturday 8am - 8pm
Walk in appointments to see a nurse are available from 8am - 4pm Monday - Saturday. From 4pm onwards we have bookable appointments which need to be booked in person at the Walk-in Centre.
Sunday and bank holidays, except Easter Sunday and Christmas Day: 11am - 5pm
Walk in appointments to see a nurse are available from 11am - 3:30pm on Sundays. From 3:30pm onwards we have bookable appointments which need to be booked in person at the Walk-in Centre.

South Bristol Urgent Care Centre
Our Urgent Care Centre at the new South Bristol NHS Community Hospital replaces the south Bristol Walk-in Centre (previously in Knowle West), which has now closed. Our Urgent Care Centre can provide all the services of a Walk-in Centre with the addition of being able to refer for on-site x-rays and other diagnostic tests.
