What are the Bristol Walk-in Centres?
The two Bristol Walk-in Centres are nurse-led centres dealing with a wide range of minor illness and injury. The centres are able to see and treat minor illnesses such as simple infections and advise and treat minor injuries such as cuts, lacerations and burns. Sexual health screening and emergency contraception is also available. A walk in service (no appointment necessary) is available during opening times.

The service is for Bristol residents, the homeless population, visitors to the city and business people.

City Gate Walk-in centre opening hours:
Open from 10am - 6pm every day until 13th April 2012, after this date the service will move to Boots Broadmead where it will re-commence on Monday 16th April.

South Bristol Walk-in centre opening hours
On Thursday 29th March at 7pm, the South Bristol Walk-in Centre will close. The service will be replaced by the Urgent Care Centre at the new South Bristol NHS Community Hospital. The Urgent Care Centre will be the first service to open at the hospital, at 8am on 30th March 2012. Staffed by experienced nurses, it will be open from 8am – 8pm every day and will offer all the services available at a Walk-in centre as well as x-rays and other diagnostic tests. The Urgent Care Centre will treat both adults and children and you can visit without an appointment.
The opening hours of the South Bristol Walk-in Centre until it closes are:

Monday - Saturday 9am - 9pm. Sundays and Bank Holidays 9am - 9pm
26th – 29th March 2012:
11am – 7pm
