Healthcare Assistants

What is this service?

Our Healthcare Assistants work as part of our Community Healthcare Teams . They assist with, and complete patient monitoring and deliver care that matches an individual patient’s needs. They work alongside other Healthcare Professionals within the community setting. To find out more about these teams please click here.

What does this service do?

Our Healthcare Assistants can delivery a range of activities having received training. Care delivered by our Healthcare assistants can include:

  • Washing and dressing 
  • Helping people to get moving
  • Generally assisting with patients' overall comfort
  • Monitoring patients' conditions
  • Acting as an advocate for patient health and wellbeing

Who is this service for?

This service is for adults who are:

  • Aged 18 and over who require nursing care
  • Predominantly housebound and unable to attend a clinic or treatment room for their care

How can I access this service?

You must be referred by your GP into our Community Healthcare Teams. Click here for more information on these teams.
