The Bristol Community Health AHP Conference 2014 a big success
Bristol Community Health held a two day programme of lectures, workshops and spoken sessions provided by outstanding national speakers, on Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February 2014. A workshop format on day two enabled delegates to tailor the course to suit their own learning objectives; the themes were: long term conditions, musculoskeletal (MSK), elderly and clinical tools. The event was held in Bristol at Engineers' House and was a unique opportunity to strengthen AHPs' assessment tools and processes portfolios.
Delegates were inspired by presentations from brilliant keynote speakers and innovative workshops
- Exploring the future of AHP working
- Networking with fellow professionals
- Discovering more about a variety of clinical areas
National speakers included: Karen Middleton CBE, Dr Gareth Greenslade, Dr Neil Stanley, Mr Stephen Eastaugh-Waring.
There was also a poster presentation with the theme 'AHP Innovation'. A prize of £100 in Amazon Vouchers was awarded for the best poster - Embracing technology: What are the potential uses of smart tablets in stroke rehabilitation and the discharge planning process? Congratulations to Julia Clifford from Beech Hill Rehabilitation Unit in Sheffield for the winning entry.
